Also, with this, Honda Amaze becomes another mass-market car with ADAS suite.

The 2024 Honda Amaze will use the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine that works in the old model. This petrol engine is capable of churning out 88 bhp peak power and 110 Nm of maximum torque. The transmission options include five-speed manual gearbox and CVT automatic unit, which remain same as the current model.

The sub-compact sedan space in India currently has only four models, namely the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. Despite being an affordable sedan segment, this category has been losing its market share gradually overt the last few years, owing to the huge demand for SUVs and crossovers. In fact, sub-compact sedan is not the only segment that is witnessing shrinking market share, but the hatchbacks too are witnessing the same fate. However, despite this decline, the sub-compact segment still has its own charm and takers. Maruti Suzuki Dzire currently holds almost 61% of the share in this segment, which the OEM tried to boost with the fourth-generation model that was launched few weeks back. Now, it is to see how third-generation Honda Amaze performs in this space.

Ahead of the December 4 launch, Honda Cars shared the final teaser video of the upcoming Amaze 2024 sedan. The video, released on Monday, shows key changes the new Amaze will get including its front face and lighting system. The grille of the new Amaze will now look more similar to the latest Honda cars like the Elevate SUV. The headlight and the taillight units have also been updated. They are sleeker now and has a clear influence from the light system seen in the Honda City sedan.

The latest leaked video of the new Honda Amaze has also revealed several details about the new and updated features inside the cabin of the sedan. Here is a first look at the upgraded touchscreen infotainment system that will be part of the Amaze 2024. The screen measures 8 inches in size and will offer compatibility with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. We will have to wait and see if Honda will introduce wireless connectivity in the new Amaze.

A video shared on social media shows the Amaze 2024 in a new shade of red exterior colour. The current generation of the Amaze is offered in five exterior colour options which include Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic and Meteoroid Grey Metallic. Besides the new shade of red, Honda has also been spotted testing the Amaze 2024 with a new blue exterior colour theme. Expect the new Amaze 2024 to be offered with more exterior colour options than its predecessors.

Honda Cars launched the Amaze sedan in India for the first time more than a decade ago when the Japanese auto giant introduced the sub-compact sedan back in April, 2013. It was the first Honda car in India which was offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains. However, down the years, Honda has withdrawn diesel engine option on the Amaze and the existing model is being sold only with petrol engine.
