A man, suspected to be in his late 30s, was run over by a speeding four-wheeler while he was sleeping on open ground in Jawahar Nagar. The incident was reported in Vikalangula Colony during the wee hours of Wednesday. Police said that they have booked a case and efforts are on to identify the deceased and the accused. “Preliminary enquiry revealed that the man was a construction worker who used to sleep in the open ground in the colony. The vehicle driver is suspected to be a local one,” said the police.
