The much awaited Bekal Beach Carnival will be held at the Bekal Beach Park from December 21 to 31.
This year’s 11-day event, replacing the annual Bekal Beach Festival, is being organised jointly by Bekal Beach Park, Red Moon Beach Park, and the Bekal Tourism Development Corporation (BRDC). Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas will inaugurate the carnival on December 15.
Event coordinator Saifuddin Kalanad said that the carnival will be spread across the 23-acre Bekal Beach Park and the surrounding private land, which will also be used for parking.
The festivities will feature a variety of stage shows, including performances by popular singers and dancers, as well as street performances.
Visitors can also enjoy unique activities such as a pet food stall, 30 indoor games, a couple swing, sky cycling, wall climbing, a zip line, speed boat rides, a floating bridge, and a food court. Besides, there will be exhibitions of antiques and military equipment, along with a studio, an amusement park, an auto expo, a food and shopping street.
