Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, the district in-charge Minister, has said that public money will be reclaimed from those who misused it during the YSR Congress Party government’s tenure.
Mr. Reddy, on Sunday, December 8, at the Chittoor District Review Committee (DRC) meeting he chaired here, alleged that during the last five years, the YSRCP leaders resorted to a plethora of irregularities and amassed public wealth. He said that the NDA government in the State would initiate a thorough probe into the corruption charges made during the YSRCP government’s tenure.
On this occasion, the MLCs and MLAs of the combined Chittoor district complained to the Minister that some officials of the Education Department were being negligent towards the issues raised by the public representatives.
The Minister expressed frustration that the Education Department officials were not following the protocols. “Public representatives complained that their recommendation letters on various issues were not being considered,” he said.
It was unfortunate that the officials remained submissive to the public representatives during the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, he said and questioned why the officials were now acting stubbornly towards the public representatives after the change of the government in the State.
The Minister issued a warning to the district officials to improve their performance. Participants in the meeting included MLAs Gurjala Jaganmohan, K. Muralimohan, V. Thomas, MLC Kancharla Srikanth, and Collector Sumit Kumar.
