Olle Törnquist, a renowned Swedish social scientist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Oslo, will deliver a lecture titled “Challenges of Kerala’s Social Democratic-Oriented Development in Comparative Perspective” at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam, on Monday.
The lecture, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., is part of the Immanuel Wallerstein Memorial Lecture 2024, organised by the Inter-University Centre for Social Science Research and Extension (IUCSSRE) under MGU.
C.T. Aravindakumar, Vice-Chancellor of MGU, will deliver the inaugural address, while Michael Tharakan, former Vice-Chancellor of Kannur University, will chair the session. The event will be held at the IUCSSRE Conference Hall on the MGU campus.
