Live from Pennsylvania, authorities have apprehended and questioned 26-year-old Luigi Nicholas Mangione in connection with the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Mangione was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona after an employee reported suspicious behavior. At the time of arrest, he was in possession of a ‘ghost gun’—a firearm assembled from parts without serial numbers—and a manifesto expressing grievances against corporate America. Additionally, Mangione carried multiple fake identifications, including one allegedly used during his stay at a Manhattan hostel prior to the crime. He has been charged with weapons possession and forgery in Pennsylvania, with extradition to New York pending for murder charges. The New York Police Department (NYPD) and Pennsylvania authorities collaborated closely in the investigation, utilizing surveillance footage and forensic evidence to track Mangione’s movements from New York to Pennsylvania.
