Russia launched a devastating drone attack on Kyiv early on January 1, killing two people and injuring at least six, according to the Kyiv city military administration. The attack, confirmed by Tymur Tkachenko on Telegram, included injuries to two pregnant women, as reported by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office.
In total, 140 combat engagements took place across the frontlines on January 1, with 38 concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service is actively responding to the aftermath of the attack.
