Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) commenced its Degree Part I examinations on Saturday with 89,000 students appearing across 58 centres in Patna and Nalanda districts under its jurisdiction.
PPU examination controller Manoj Kumar said the university has implemented several measures to ensure the integrity of the exams. “Observers have been deployed at all examination centres. These university-appointed observers are tasked with overseeing the exam proceedings, ensuring adherence to prescribed guidelines and preventing any malpractice,” he said.
This year, the university has taken additional precautions to conduct the exams in a fair and transparent manner. “The exams are being conducted in two sittings — from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. We have ensured that all necessary arrangements for the comfort and safety of students are in place,” Kumar added.
The examinations, which began on Saturday, are scheduled to continue till Jan 13. Kumar said the results of these exams would be announced within a month.
