The Palisades Fire in Los Angeles has rapidly escalated, prompting significant emergency responses and mandatory evacuations.
The Palisades Fire has grown to approximately 200 acres and remains 0% contained. The fire began on January 7, 2025, around 10:30 AM near Piedra Morada Drive and has quickly spread due to strong Santa Ana winds, which are expected to reach gusts of up to 70 mph in some areas.
Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for areas between Piedra Morada Drive and the Pacific Coast Highway. Evacuation warnings are in effect for surrounding zones, including parts of the Pacific Palisades Highlands community
