A fast-moving wildfire, dubbed the Sunset Fire, broke out near the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday night, coming dangerously close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The blaze is one of four major wildfires ravaging Southern California, which have claimed five lives, forced 130,000 evacuations, and destroyed communities from the Pacific Coast to Pasadena.
While winds subsided on Wednesday after hurricane-force gusts worsened conditions the previous day, the fires remain out of control. Firefighters from multiple states have joined efforts to contain the infernos, but the situation remains critical.
