Poilievre labeled the tax hike as a "job-killing tax" that would adversely affect healthcare, housing, agriculture, and small businesses. He stated, "Trudeau is hiking taxes on homebuilding during a housing shortage," and emphasized that this policy would drive away investment and jobs from Canada.
