Madhepura: A 45-year-old driver died and another injured after a speeding truck hit his tractor from behind on NH-107 near Chakla Chowk under Madhepura town police station in the district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Pramod Kumar Singh, son of Jugal Singh, a resident of Sammatpur in Patna district. The incident took place when three new tractors were being brought from Patna to Madhepura to be delivered at the dealer’s showroom by three drivers.

The attack is believed to stem from a previous dispute over poultry prices.
