Shahabad DIG holds law and order meeting following rise in crime incidents

Ara: In view of the rise in crime incidents in Bhojpur district, Shahabad range DIG Satya Prakash on Friday held a high-level review meeting with the senior police officers at Ara to review the law and order situation.
In the last four days, three people, including a 21-year-old boy, were shot dead in the district while four others received gunshot injuries in different incidents.

Following the meeting, the Shahabad DIG constituted a special investigation team (SIT), headed by additional SP, which will be directly monitored by SP, Raj.
The DIG said, “Murder and attempt to murder cases lodged recently were reviewed. Out of the 10 cases, accused have been arrested in six cases. In order to ensure that all the murder or attempt to murder accused are apprehended without any delay, an SIT has been constituted that will be headed by the ASP. The SP will monitor the SIT.”
The Shahabad DIG said the SIT would be provided with a special police force to assist it in conducting raids to nab the absconding accused. “Instructions have been given to launch regular drives to curb crime incidents.”
He said the SDPOs of Ara, Jagdishpur and Piro have been asked to do regular supervision of the murder and attempt to murder cases, while the SHOs have been instructed to arrest all the accused, even of the old cases, without any delay.
The meeting was attended by Bhojpur SP, Raj; Ara Sadar SDPO, Parichay Kumar; Sadar SDPO-II Ranjit Kumar Singh; Jagdishpur SDPO Rajiv Chandra Singh; Piro SDPO Abu Saifee Murtaza, SHOs and circle inspectors of the district.
