Motihari: Three unidentified bike-borne criminals snatched a bag, containing Rs 1.25 lakh cash, from one Ajay Sah alias Pappu, a currency exchanger, at Ghorasahan near Indo-Nepal border in East Champaran district on Monday morning. The miscreants escaped while opening three rounds of fire after committing the crime.
The victim, Ajay Sah, said, “I was going to my shop in Ghorasahan market area on foot. As soon as I reached near Ghorasahan railway godown, the criminals intercepted me and snatched my bag. I alarmed others present there but the criminals opened fires in the air to scare people and escaped.”
SP Swarn Prabhat said that the loot incident occurred in Ghorasahan GRP area in the morning, but the local police reached the spot and conducted investigation. “Ashok Kumar, SDPO of Sikrahana and Railway DSP Umesh Kumar, are probing the case. The criminals will be arrested soon,” he said.
