Israeli Ambassador to Moscow, Simona Halperin, has confirmed that Russian national Alexander Trufanov is alive and scheduled for release during the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The ceasefire, which took effect on January 19, is set to last 42 days. Under the agreement, Hamas will release at least 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israel. Trufanov is included in the list of hostages to be freed.
