Patna: District magistrate (DM) Chandrashekhar Singh on Sunday instructed the officials concerned to complete various ongoing welfare and infrastructure projects under Daniyawan block at the earliest. The DM also inspected preparations regarding the CM’s scheduled Pragati Yatra of the place on Feb 21. “Preparations are going on for the CM’s Pragati Yatra to the block. The work of various projects along with preparations for the yatra is satisfactory. The officials have been directed to meet the deadline,” said Singh. The DM added people of the block expressed happiness over the projects and the speed of the work. “All the sub-divisional administrative and police officials have been instructed to establish direct contact with the residents and seek their feedback regarding various works in the area for better implementation and execution,” said Singh. Singh said attention was being paid on beautification of urban and rural areas of the district. “Several development projects are taking shape in Daniwayan. A playground consisting of basketball, badminton and volleyball courts, besides facilities for long and high jumps as well as 400-feet running track is being constructed at a govt school here. Boundary wall of the school will also be ready soon,” said Singh, adding, all the works were being carried out under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. Detailing beautification of Badki pond under Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali mission, he said the place under Kharbhaiya panchayat would soon get a retaining wall, besides ghats with steps and concrete roads around the areas for easy movement of people. “A community healthcare centre is also being constructed here by the health department that will ensure better medical facilities for the locals,” he added.
