Body of boy found hanging from tree in Buxar village

Buxar: Police on Tuesday recovered the body of a 12-year-old boy, Ashok Gond, hanging from a tree at Chunni village under the Muffasil police station of Buxar district. The reason for the death is not known, police said.
According to police, Ashok, son of Babulal Gond, left his house at around 3pm on Monday, but did not return till late evening. His family members frantically searched for him till late Monday evening, but they could not find him. The next morning, his body was found hanging from a tree on the outskirts of the village.
Ashok’s family said there was no reason why the boy would have ended his life this way. They claimed they did not have enmity with anyone.
“We are investigating the case from both murder and suicide angles,” Mufassil SHO Arvind Kumar said. adding the police have sent the body to sadar hospital for an autopsy.
The reason for the death will be ascertained only after the arrival of the postmortem report.
