Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta has been named the new Chief Minister of Delhi. New Delhi MLA Parvesh Verma will serve as Deputy CM, while Rohini MLA Vijender Gupta has been appointed Speaker of the Delhi Assembly. The BJP secured a decisive victory, winning 44 out of 70 seats. Gupta’s swearing-in ceremony is set for February 20 at Ramlila Maidan.
