Patna: Incumbent Dilip Kumar Jaiswal will be formally and unanimously elected the state BJP president on Tuesday.
A BJP state council meeting has been scheduled at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna on Tuesday. Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde and deputy CMs, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, will attend the meeting.
Jaiswal submitted his nomination papers for the party’s state president post on Monday to election in charge and state general secretary, Rajesh Verma. Samrat, Vijay Sinha besides health minister Mangal Pandey and Sanjay Mayukh, MLC, proposed his name.
Jaiswal had resigned as the minister of revenue and land reforms last week before the cabinet expansion, citing one-man, one post formula in the BJP.
