Man shot dead over old dispute

Patna: A 45-year-old man was shot dead and his relative sustained bullet injuries when four miscreants opened fire at them over a dispute in Patna district on Thursday evening. The deceased was identified as Lalan Yadav, a resident of Chhoti Tangrela village. His relative was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Deepak Kumar, sub-divisional police officer-II, Phulwarisharif, said the incident took place under Naubatpur police station when two people were injured by gunfire and were taken to the hospital. “One of them died during treatment while the other is undergoing treatment. One suspect has been arrested,” he said. According to police, the incident happened when Lalan was sitting outside his house and had a dispute with his neighbours over some issues. Four miscreants opened fire at the victims and escaped on foot. Lalan sustained two bullet injuries, shoulder and leg and succumbed during the treatment. The police recovered six empty bullet shells from the spot.
