Following recent U.S. airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, Trump warned that any future attacks by the Houthis would be considered actions by Iran and met with severe retaliation. He emphasized that Iran would be held fully accountable for the Houthis’ actions and that the U.S. response could be catastrophic for Iran.
The Pentagon has reinforced this stance, with Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell stating that the U.S. will continue to use "overwhelming, lethal force" against Houthi targets until their aggression ceases. Parnell highlighted that Houthi terrorists have launched missiles and attack drones at U.S. warships over 170 times and at commercial vessels 145 times since 2003.
