Nissan Kicks that is being sold in the global market has scored 5 stars in the crash test done by Latin NCAP. The 2025 Kicks scored 90 per cent points in adult occupant protection, 92 per cent in child protection, 76 per cent in pedestrian and vulnerable road users and 85 per cent in safety assist systems.
The head protection for the driver was rated as good. The passenger’s head protection was deemed adequate, considering the potential risks associated with airbag deployment. Both the driver’s and passenger’s necks exhibited good protection. The driver’s chest received an adequate rating, while the passenger’s chest was rated as good. Protection for both the driver’s and passenger’s knees was rated as good. The passenger’s tibias and the driver’s right tibia were also rated as good, whereas the driver’s left tibia received an adequate rating. The footwell area was assessed as stable. Additionally, the bodyshell was rated as stable and is capable of enduring further loads.

Head, abdomen chest and pelvis showed good protection. Crashed side door opened during the impact in a side impact. Head and pelvis protection was good, and chest and abdomen protection was adequate in the side pole impact. During the whiplash, the seat showed good protection to the adult’s neck. The car offers AEB City with good performance and meets Latin NCAP availability requirements.
In terms of points, the Kicks scored 14.41 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier, in whiplash rear impact and it scored 2.36 points out of 3. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the Kicks scored 7 points out of 8 and the side pole impact it scored 7.36 points out of 8.

Nissan Magnite gets a price hike
The Nissan Magnite has experienced another price increase, marking the second adjustment in less than two months, resulting in a higher cost. Previously, on January 31, the sub-four meter SUV saw a price rise of up to ₹22,000. Now, the Japanese manufacturer has implemented an additional price hike of up to ₹4 lakh, raising the starting price of the Magnite to ₹6.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in six variants and twelve color options, along with two engine choices and three transmission configurations.
This recent price increase affects all variants of the Nissan Magnite, which is one of only two passenger vehicles that Nissan markets in India and serves as a significant revenue generator for the company in the region. With the new starting price set at ₹6.14 lakh (ex-showroom), the Magnite’s price now reaches up to ₹11.92 lakh (ex-showroom).
