An airfield is on fire in Russia’s Saratov region after a Ukrainian drone attack, the governor said on Thursday.
For safety reasons, evacuation of the residents living close to the airfield is being carried out, the governor, Roman Busargin, said in a message on his Telegram channel.

Russia says destroyed 132 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russia’s Ministry of Defence said Thursday that it destroyed 132 Ukrainian drones launched in overnight attacks in several regions throughout the country, as foreign powers press for a ceasefire in the three-year-old conflict.
“Over the course of the past night, air defence systems on duty destroyed 132 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles,” Moscow’s defence ministry said in a Telegram post.

Trump floats U.S. takeover of Ukraine nuclear plants
Donald Trump has told Volodymyr Zelensky that the United States could own and run Ukraine’s nuclear power plants as part of his latest bid to secure a ceasefire in Russia’s invasion of its neighbour.
The offer comes as some 30 military chiefs from countries keen to help protect an eventual ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine prepared for talks in Britain on Thursday to discuss planning for a peacekeeping force.
