A submarine named "Sindbad" sank off the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Hurghada on Thursday, killing six Russians and rescuing 39 foreign tourists. The submarine, carrying 50 people, had passengers from Russia, India, Norway, and Sweden, along with five Egyptian crew members. Most were rescued and taken to safety. The vessel, designed for sightseeing, could descend to 25 meters, offering views of the Red Sea’s marine life.
