Ara: CPI (ML) and its students wings AISA and RYA on Monday observed ‘Sankalp Diwas‘ on the occasion of the 28th death anniversary of the former JNU students’ union president, Chandrasekhar, at the party’s office at Shri Tola here.
Addressing the party workers, CPI (ML) Bhojpur district secretary, Jawaharlal Singh, said, “The relevance of ideas of Chandrasekhar has increased in the present political scenario in the country. His struggle and contributions are not confined to the university alone. He actively led a public movement and succeeded in uniting the students to raise their voice for quality education, employment and better amenities.”
District president of RYA, Niranjan Keshari, while paying rich tributes to Chandrashekhar said, “The former JNUSU president will continue to inspire the students.”
Reminding the gathering that Chandrasekhar was an active AISA member before becoming the JNUSU president, the joint secretary of the AISA Bhojpur unit, Roshan Kushwaha, said: “We are going to disseminate the ideas of Chandrasekhar on various colleges and university campuses in order to lay stress on job-oriented education policy.”
CPI (ML) office secretary, Dilraj Pritam, and a host of other Left wing netas and workers were also present on the occasion.
