ICJ starts first hearing in a case brought by Sudanese government against UAE | Hague Netherlands
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) commenced public hearings in the case of Sudan v. United Arab Emirates. Sudan has accused the UAE of violating the 1948 Genocide Convention by allegedly providing financial and military support to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has been implicated in genocidal acts against the Masalit ethnic group in West Darfur during the ongoing civil conflict.
