China Warns UK Over British Steel Rescue ‘Politicisation’
Beijing has cautioned the UK government not to “politicise” the ongoing situation with British Steel after Chinese parent company Jingye suspended raw material orders at its Scunthorpe plant. A spokesperson for China’s foreign ministry warned that linking trade with national security could severely undermine investor confidence in the UK economy.
