U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth criticized what he called media "hoaxters" while defending himself against claims that he had disclosed private information twice in a Signal app communication. Hegseth made the remarks at the White House Easter Egg Roll with his family. Following reports that Hegseth communicated information on a March attack on Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis in a chat group with his wife, brother, and personal lawyer, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Monday that President Donald Trump supports Hegseth.
