Sasaram: Three young friends died in a road accident in Rohtas district late on Monday night. The incident took place on the Ara-Sasaram state highway under Nokha police station area when a speeding SUV collided with their motorcycle, killing all the three riders on the spot. Through the sticker on the SUV, the vehicle was identified that of the block education officer (BEO) of Dawath of the district. The deceased were identified as Mantosh Kumar (20), Bhuwar Kumar (18) and Sajan Kumar (22)—all residents of Mujhanu village in Nokha police station area of Rohtas district. According to police, the three friends were going to attend a wedding ceremony at Ramnagar when the accident occurred around 10pm. Following the collision, local people stopped the SUV. However, no damage was done to it due to the sticker of the DEO displayed on it. After receiving information, police arrived at the spot and took possession of the vehicle. The bodies were sent for autopsy at the Sadar Hospital Sasaram and later handed over to their families.
