Two persons were arrested by the Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad on Friday (December 6, 2024) for allegedly posting defamatory comments against Minister Dansari Seethakka.
Thodupunori Vijay Bhanu Prasad and Gade Prakash were arrested for offences under Section 67 of the IT Act and other provisions.
Derogatory content against the Minister was being posted since August. “The comments were deemed malicious, aimed at tarnishing the Minister’s dignity and reputation, and posed a potential threat to public order,” police said.
The Cyber Crime Police have launched further investigation. Both the accused were presented before the Nampally Court on Friday, and remanded to judicial custody.
