Eighteen state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against President Trump on Tuesday, challenging his executive order denying U.S. citizenship to children born to unauthorized immigrants. The lawsuit, joined by San Francisco and Washington, D.C., was filed in Federal District Court in Massachusetts. New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, leading the effort alongside California and Massachusetts, called the move "extraordinary and extreme," asserting that the President cannot unilaterally rewrite the Constitution.
