During a European Parliament debate, officials criticized Trump’s actions. Polish Minister for European Affairs Adam Szlapka called the threats against the ICC "highly regrettable." European Commissioner Michael McGrath warned that the sanctions pose "a serious challenge" to global justice efforts. Dutch MEP Raquel Garcia Hermida-van der Walle urged action against EU states supporting Trump’s measures.
