The Mavelikara-Thekkekara grama panchayat has set up a water ATM near Olakettiyambalam Kalithattu. It was inaugurated by panchayat president K. Mohan Kumar.
The facility was installed at a cost of ₹7.15 lakh. According to officials, water from the storage tank is transferred to the ATM’s tank and undergoes a five-stage purification process before being dispensed. People can collect one litre of drinking water from the ATM by paying ₹1.
