Sara Duterte, daughter of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and current Filipino Vice President, was seen outside the International Criminal Court on Friday ahead of her father’s first appearance before judges. She told reporters she expects the ICC to grant permission for a family visit and hopes the court will allow a request to reschedule the initial hearing. Duterte, 79, is the first Asian former leader arrested on an ICC warrant and will be formally informed of the crimes against humanity charges related to his deadly anti-drug campaign.
