This comes amid escalating tensions between Moscow and the West over the ongoing war in Ukraine. During a press briefing in Kazakhstan, Putin criticized US President Joe Biden for complicating matters for the incoming Trump administration. He specifically condemned Biden’s authorization for Ukraine to use long-range American missiles, known as ATACMS, against targets within Russia.
When asked about the potential impact of Biden’s actions on future U.S.-Russia relations, Putin expressed optimism that ties could improve once Trump assumes office in January.
